Outcomes

Many physics majors go on to pursue advanced degrees in physics or related sciences. A physics education also provides a general scientific foundation for subsequent specialization in many other career paths, including engineering, law, biology, mathematics, computer science, environmental science, finance, technical sales, industrial management, education and oceanography.

Support Physics

Your contributions to the Physics Department have allowed us to, amongst other things, send a delegation of physics majors to the Quadrennial National Society of Physics Students congress, upgrade advanced undergraduate lab equipment, allow graduate students to present their research at national conferences, support summer research fellowships for physics undergraduates, and recognize top physics students via academic awards and prizes.
